Three numbers end the life of a bouncer, and the first to arrive wins: the baby sits up unaided, the baby rolls over in the seat, or the baby reaches the printed weight. For most babies the sitting up comes first, several months before the pounds do.

The Cotton Bouncer is the only model that has a second life. Lock the frame flat and it carries a toddler to thirty pounds as a chair, which is a different job from bouncing and a good deal longer.

On the carrier, the waistband is the number that decides fit rather than the weight limit. Fifty five inches covers most adults in a coat, and the belt is meant to sit above the hip bones rather than around the waist of your jeans.

Where a cell is blank, the specification we hold is silent. A measurement nobody measured is worse than no measurement, so we leave it out.
